Cape Town whale watching
Same whale from previous post, here he/she is just showing off now. I am presuming that it is a Southern Right Whale but it was way to far out to see anything that would say differently.
Tricky stuff, tails look cheeky, jumpers maintain 3-5 jumps in one go, as they torpedo down to get momentum to breach the whole body. Best seen in Walker Bay from De Kelders.Oops, there goes best kept secret. False Bay is best in October. So we have to be patient.
I agree, False bay is certainly not the best for whale watching - but what tickles my fancy is that I can watch them doing this from my office, sitting at my desk.
